8HP90 Billet P2 Carrier (DMS-5809)

The Dodson 8HP90 Billet P2 Carrier (DMS-5809) is a one-piece billet replacement for the OE planetary carrier in ZF 8HP90 transmissions. It suits high-horsepower Dodge Hellcat, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Porsche, Rolls-Royce and aftermarket 8HP swap builds where the factory P2 carrier becomes a known limit.

One-Piece Billet Construction

Dodson precision CNC machines the DMS-5809 from a single piece of superior alloy. Increased wall thickness raises torque capacity over the OE carrier. The result is a stronger, stiffer carrier without the rotational inertia a heavier strengthened assembly would normally carry.

The billet upgrade removes the need to run a welded OE assembly for added strength. Many high-horsepower 8HP builds previously relied on welding the factory carrier to survive the loads. DMS-5809 replaces that work-around with a purpose-built billet component.

Stiffness Without Inertia Penalty

The Dodson upgrade increases stiffness without penalizing rotational inertia. The result is a stronger transmission internal without compromising shift response or acceleration feel. Workshops install the 8HP90 Billet P2 Carrier during a standard 8HP rebuild across OEM and swap applications.
