Dodson Motorsport are world leaders in aftermarket dual clutch transmission components for high end and performance vehicles.

We comprehensively road and track test the products we offer using our own fleet of vehicles that includes high performance offerings from Nissan, Mitsubishi, Porsche, VW, BMW and Audi. Our products for Nissan’s GTR, for example, are regularly tested in racing environments to ensure their reliability and durability exceed both manufacturer standards and the expectations of our customers. We never release a product until it has been through this rigorous regime of on-road and track testing and our staff are totally satisfied with its performance. Our specialised team also carries out custom transmission projects and special developments for clients around the world. Dodson Motorsport was established in 2000 by Glenn Cupit, a qualified automotive engineer, and Harry Dodson of Dodson Autospares and now operates a solid Management, R&D, Marketing and technician Teams to deploy its product range globally.

Performance Proof:

When the F80 M3 came out it was love at first sight. I knew it would be our next project car, and I quickly came up with a plan to have the fastest F80 out there.

We have been building and racing forced induction BMW’s since 2007. We hold several records in the US including fastest manual trans BMW (8.9@164mph, E36 M3) and fastest E46 M3 (9.7@146mph). We decided to jump into a newer platform BMW and ordered a 2016 F80 M3 for our next development car, and decided on the DCT transmission. There were a few companies that had a head start on the F8X platform, but we knew we could put together a winning package. We put an upgrade plan together for the car and decided on Dodson clutches and baskets based on our previous success using Dodson components in our GTR project. We pulled the transmission with 30 miles on the car to install the clutch upgrades! We developed many of our own products for the car in addition to parts from Pure Turbos, Evolution of Speed, Burger Tuning, and TPG. We were also one of the first companies to install a port injection system on the car so that we could run higher mixtures of ethanol. We took the car out to the track for it’s first outing and ran a 10.34@133mph, breaking TPG Tuning’s previous record of 10.79@132mph. We continued to tweak the car and ended up with a 10.2@137mph at a later date. We look forward to 2017 as we plan on turning things up even more and getting into the 9’s!
